Objectives: To present the nutritional labeling requirements introduced by the recent Regulation (EU) Nº 1169/2011, highlighting the content of the mandatory nutrition declaration; Provide an overview of the application and impact of the new rules for compulsory indication of nutrition information on the packaging of most foodstuffs.
