Aims of the study: -Characterize the axis ferroportin-1/oxidase in immune cells: Expression of ceruloplasmin isoforms in lymphocytes and monocytes/macrophages; Subcellular localization and regulation of Ferroportin-1 and its potential partners in macrophages. -Study the effect of pro-inflammatory (M1) and/or atherogenic conditions (Mox) on macrophage iron metabolism.
