The “Green-it Bioresources for Sustainability” Unit addresses the challenge of ensuring food security and adequate resources for a growing human population, by deciphering the basic mechanisms of plant-environment interactions and translating knowledge into innovation for plant breeding, while guaranteeing environmental sustainability. Green-it vision: Contribute for a more sustainable world, based on a better knowledge and use of improved plants; Create and translate knowledge into next generation precision agriculture; Develop tools and techniques to empower farmers to produce sufficient crops to meet local global demands.
