Abstract(s)
Background:
-In 2011 Portugal received funding from EFSA to implement the SSD within its data management systems for chemical contaminants data collection and report;
-Within the project a national platform “alimentos PT.ON.DATA” was created and is currently used to report data on chemical contaminants and food additives (SSD1);
-In 2014 EFSA awarded eight contracts as a result of the “Pilot project on the implementation of SSD2 in the frame of the electronic transmission of harmonised data collection of analytical results to EFSA” (OC/EFSA/DCM/2013/05). Portugal is one of the awarded countries and is currently executing the project in the domains of chemical contaminants, pesticide residues, food additives and biological monitoring In 2015 a new contract (OC/EFSA/DCM/2015/02) was awarded and Portugal will test and implement SSD2 to the residues of veterinary medicinal products data domain.
