Abstract(s)
Introduction: Portugal plans and executes annual control plans to
check the foodstuff safety, to ensure consumer’s
health. This control is assured by different
institutions and therefore a large amount of data is
produced. Additional data is provided by other
stakeholders, such as universities, research
centers, laboratories and food business operators.
To compile, and standardize this multi-source data,
PortFIR (Portuguese Food Information Resource)
was created, in order to provide national data to be
used in risk assessment.
