Resumo(s)

The adverse effects of heavy metal exposure to human health have been studied and acknowledged for many years by several international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO). Total Diet Studies (TDS) were adopted by several European countries as the sound scientific basis to strengthen the linkage between food consumption and food analysis with the purpose of assessing the effect of harmful substances on health.
